Honor & Honey
A door slams shut
upon peaceful slumber,
Who or what
will be remembered?
A feeling, a belief
Eternally alive
Found in the ancient tombs
A taste so divine
hidden from the innocent fools
in plain sight
Faith
Sifting through my brain
Becoming like gold
Is it to be given away?
Or ours to hold?
Giving away,
let’s it blossom forth,
giving more,
as ever before.
—————-
Beyond the notion
Of to each their own.
Growing further from vanity.
Toward a collective sanity.
Feeling
Alone,
unable to defend
the hive from the starving stare.
Believing
Together,
a humble death
that the thriving mind can bare.
—————-
Faith
Honey drips through my brain
A sheen like gold
Is it to be given away?
Or ours to hold?
A feeling turned to action
The ever renewing grace of purity
True to the taste of our reality
If only we’d kneel to unity
It could be ours to feel, truly
Love is honey
and we the bees
ever buzzing
Ever believing
A door slams shut
up on peaceful slumber,
Who or what
will be remembered?
