10: Reclamation Day

10
Reclamation Day

Walk toward the light without being blinded from each other
Strong and sorrowful, ever onward and upward
Return renewed, to carry your burdens with courage

I’m counting my blessings,
From my youth,
to the deceased
Still screaming the truth.

Let us discover their falls and rises
Their answers to the calls of the wild
————

What have I done?
For what
Have I been broken?
With a final mantra spoken
Hoping to end the bad omen

the dead
pull me down low,
and they pull me in close,
“Why is that the path you drove?”

Because the stars seemed so near
But then they seemed too far.
I felt so big
then I felt too small
And never was i content with I had

Hear the lament of the dead

let their words sere,
for they will get you out of here
see why the past
has brought you here

blessed are those
That are on a road they chose
Blessed are you, for you can still find peace
Blessed are you, for you can still fly free

center yourself
ready yourself
Reclamation Day!
————

We can’t turn back the clock, but we can
Return the subdued from damnation.
Return these statues back to rock.

With so much that can’t be undone,
There is still so much we can do.

We can,And we ought to
Stop hiding and
Face the flames that are blinding

with the lies you try to carry
your garden becomes a cemetery

With so much that can’t be undone,
There is still so much we can do.

(We can
And we ought to)
Sacrifice our pride
And take it in our stride

(We can
And we ought to)
Sacrifice our pride
And take it in our stride

Reclamation Day
We can’t turn back the clock, but we can
Return the subdued from damnation.
Return these statues back to rock.

We walk in the light
do not be blinded from each other
We are strong and have sorrow
The high road goes onward and upward
Return renewed
to carry your burdens with courage
